I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), specializing in cancer epigenetics, and I also serve as a GTA for the introduction to biology course. My research delves into the role of metabolic and epigenetic regulation in breast cancer progression, with a particular focus on targeting the Warburg effect to prevent metastasis. I explore bioactive compounds such as quercetin and SAHA as potential modulators of glycolytic pathways and epigenetic enzymes. Additionally, I am interested in paternal epigenetic inheritance and its implications for disease risk in offspring, having recently published a review paper on the topic. I am passionate about translational research, scientific mentorship, and advancing innovative therapeutic strategies in oncology.
