Biography

Asok Bandyopadhyay is currently Associate Director and Head ICT& Services Group of CDAC, Kolkata centre, Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Govt. of India and earlier he worked in Space Application Centre (SAC), ISRO, Ahmedabad, India. He is having more than 31 years of experience in R&D activities in the field of Digital Signal Processing based control system development, Speech processing, Embedded system, Image processing, Pattern recognition, Handwriting Recognition, Soft computing, Signature Biometric based verification system, Information security systems, Infrared Imaging etc. and led several projects in this area. Published more than 30 National /International Papers including Journal Papers & Articles. Developed IR imaging based breast Cancer screening system under a MeitY funded project as a Chief Investigator. Coordinating ACTS Training Courses of C-DAC, Kolkata and also taking classes as a faculty in the area of Machine learning, Digital Signal processing etc. for PG-Diploma courses of C-DAC, Kolkata.

Last few years he is also working in the field of Cybersecurity & Cyber forensics including Smart Device forensics, Document Forensics, Social media analysis and as a Chief Investigator of a MeitY funded project on DIGIFAI system, developed Artificial Intelligence based tool set for Digital Forensics.
