Cancer Metastasis and Resistance

Metastasis is a process in which the cancer cells migrate to other tissues, making it difficult to treat. It has been reported to be the leading cause of cancer-related death. Some cancerous tumors are said to show therapeutic resistance. Thus, there is a need to understand the underlying cause of resistance and formulate more efficient anti-cancer treatments, targeting both the issues of metastatic cells and primary tumors.
